ChilternToastmaster

Thank you for visiting
www.chilterntoastmaster.co.uk. If you are
planning a special day, let me quickly offer my best wishes for a wonderful occasion.
I am a Professional Toastmaster specialising in Weddings and Civil
Partnerships in the Chilterns and Thames Valley and I am known at many of
the prominent venues in the region. But distance is no object: I have been
engaged at ceremonies across the country - in the Midlands, London, Kent and
Cheshire, and I am shortly to see how they do things in South Africa!
A Professional
Toastmaster knows that as society changes, so do attitudes to Formality.
Some couples are anxious to preserve Tradition, others want a stylish
gathering but one where the atmosphere is more relaxed.
But first, just what does
the Professional Toastmaster do? Click on this PDF link “What
the Professional Toastmaster does on your Big Day” and you will
quickly see that it is rather more than striking a hard surface with a gavel
from time to time or prompting someone lost in the middle of a speech!
’What
is correct?’
is a question I am often asked and so the
Guide to
Etiquette and Protocol (PDF file) which I have produced is a good starting point. The main
headings are shown on the Protocol and Etiquette web-page.
Any Professional
Toastmaster should offer to meet
before the event. At my meetings, always three weeks beforehand, I get to
know the couple and we go through my Guide and a Planner together. There are
many options for adding style, dignity and grace to your occasion - and so
it is important that your Toastmaster understands what level of formality
you feel to be appropriate. After all, no-one should feel uncomfortable on
the Big Day.
