Toastmaster Fees:

I charge fees in the range £350.00 to £450.00 to attend at Weddings and Civil Partnership celebrations. Distances – therefore time-commitment - involved vary greatly. Then again, for a week-day event I can often reduce that figure. But let me set out what you get.

• The ‘At Home’ meeting – not all toastmasters offer this but I believe it is terribly important. Only by knowing rather more about you than if we met for the first time at the Hotel doorway or Church porch, can I really understand your expectations for the Big Day and promise to help you achieve them. The detailed Questionnaire that we chat though together becomes my planner for the event. Spending an hour together a month beforehand makes a big difference, I promise.

• I will have sent you two useful articles which I have written dealing with Etiquette and what you should expect from a Professional Toastmaster on the day and beforehand – behind the scenes and ‘front of house’. These notes provide a very useful starting-point for our At Home briefing. You can even download them here without obligation. • On the day itself I will be at the venue 90 minutes before you – to meet the Banqueting Manager, perhaps a Registrar, and everyone else who has a part to play. From my planner I know what we expect to be there, what is to happen and when - and it is my job to make sure everything is ready.

• Long after many toastmasters will have left, my fee includes my attendance until the first dance has ended. I am very pleased to introduce the evening’s entertainment and escort the couple onto the dance-floor!

Of course, compared with the cost of other Wedding arrangements, having a professional toastmaster in attendance is excellent value!
